2 in 1 Cheese Dip

Although Mike’s Clam Dip is our overall favorite dip recipe, every now and then we like a change, and this recipe fits the bill. Mike says that this dip is “addictive.”  It’s a 2-cheese and salsa dip, but what we love most about it is you can serve it cold, or hot (like a Queso dip). This a tasty dip for that holiday party, or for game day! Serve with tortilla chips, or with a veggie platter. We, actually, prefer the taste of this dip cold; but having the option of serving it hot makes it so much more versatile and fun! Make a double batch and serve half cold and half hot…2 dips out of one simple recipe. You can, literally, make this dip in 2 minutes and it’s okay to double the recipe upfront (which we always do).

In large bowl, combine cheeses and salsa. 

Mix at medium speed with electric mixer until well blended. Refrigerate.

Serve cold or hot. If serving cold: for best results prepare night before, or in the morning.

To heat: microwave all ingredients in 1-quart microwave-safe bowl on high 2-1/2 to 3 minutes, or until thoroughly heated, stirring after every minute.

Serve with tortilla chips or vegetable dippers.

Recipe below makes a double batch. Cut ingredients in half for single batch; or, serve one batch cold and the heat the other batch for Queso style dip.

INGREDIENTS:

• 2 jars (8 ounces each) Kraft Cheez Whiz
• 2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened    
• 1 cup chunky salsa

DIRECTIONS:

1. Mix all ingredients at medium speed with electric mixer until well blended. Refrigerate.
2. Serve cold or hot.
3. Serve with tortilla chips or vegetable dippers.
